This study aims to investigate sediment transport process along the beach of Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan provinces and then propose solutions to reduce negative impacts from coastal erosion there. Mike 21 model was used to simulate the current, wave and sediment transport during the northeast and southwest monsoon periods. Results showed that sediment transport of the study area was mainly in the southerly direction due to the amount of sediment transport ranges from 2.01 million to 9.61 million m3/year during the northeast monsoon whereas that of the southwest monsoon was significantly lower (from 0.18 million to 3.83 million m3/year). Coastal erosion often occurs during the northeast monsoon and mainly in the area from Mui Ne to Tuy Phong district. Building groyne or supplying imported material for articifal nourishment can be applied in order to reduce coastal erosion in Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan provinces.
