06. Research to forecast thunderstorm for Da Nang airport using physical-statistical method

Thunderstorms are common natural disasters that occur in almost all regions of Vietnam at any time of the year. They have great impacts on economic and social sectors such as aviation, maritime, traffic, tourism especially, directly affect people's lives. Therefore, it is very necessary to study the thunderstorms forecast for aviation at airports in general and Da Nang international airports in particular. Using monitoring data at the station, radio detective data, model data and re-analysis data, the research studied, calculated and analyzed details of thunderstorms for Da Nang airport area and adjacent areas. The results show that the thunder forecast equations up to 24 hours for Da Nang airport area using independent and dependent data sets meet the requirements of the thunder forecasting problem.
