04. Evaluation of odor and wastewater treatment system of fish production process of Thuan An Production - Trading - Service Co., Ltd.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to evaluate the treatment system of wastewater and odor (flue gas) from the fish production process of Thuan An Manufacturing - Trading - Services Co., Ltd. The research method is to examine the treatment process and determine the evaluation criteria. According to the survey results, the wastewater treatment system has a capacity of 408 m³/day.night and the odor treatment technology operates with a flow of 1.922 m³/hour. The analysis results of the wastewater treatment system show that pH is 7,5, TSS is 36,25 mg/l, N-NH₄⁺ is 9,12 mg/l, total N is 22,79 mg/l, residual Chlorine is 0,30 mg/l, Grease is 1,76 mg/l and Coliforms is 1.150 MPN/100ml. The biological process applied in this treatment system is very effective as COD treatment is 22,00 mg/l and BOD₅ treatment is 14,25 mg/l. All of criteria of the treatment system meet the national standards (QCVN 11:2008/BTNMT, column A). Efficiency of this treatment system is 93%. Moreover, the odor analysis results show that NH₃ concentration is 45,96 mg/m³, H₂S concentration is 0,03 mg/m³, and especially Methyl mercaptan is not detected. Odor criteria also meet the national standards (QCVN 19 & 20: 2009/BTNMT, column B).
