01. MODIFICATION OF RAINWATER SAMPLE COLLECTOR FOR WATER STABLE ISOTOPE ANALYSIS

Rainwater sample collector for water stable isotope analyses was modified based on the rainwater collector at meteorological stations to ensure no separation of isotopes while sampling. The equipment is made using available materials in Vietnam in order to get reliable isotopic data with low cost. It was used to collect rainwater sample and was verified at the Water resources laboratory, Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment. The results showed that the modified rainwater sample collector meet technical requirements of the IAEA’s standards for a water isotope sample collector.
